James (Jim) H. Wrenn, PhD.
President & CEO

Jim Wrenn is the President and CEO of IT Works, the company he founded in 1987. He has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has over 20 years of experience developing and implementing financial, human resources, grant, and facility management software systems for colleges, universities, and research hospitals. His forte is finding and implementing solutions to complex problems especially in the areas that require expertise with computer technology and financial management.

Andrea Comley
Director of Implementation & Training

Andrea Comley is the Director of Implementation and Training at IT Works. She has over 13 years experience in grant and financial administration in both non-profit and higher education sectors. Her experience includes pre and post award administration at a department and within central administration at Washington State University. She also has pre and post award experience within central administration at the University of Idaho. Her titles have included: Compliance and Database Manager, Grant and Contract Specialist, Grant and Contract Coordinator, Grant and Contract Coordinator Lead, Contracting Officer and Fiscal Manager. Andrea currently supports implementation and training for financial and grant management software at IT Works.

Linda Lejnar, MBA, CPA.
Lead Implementation Specialist

Linda Lejnar worked for over 20 years in the University of Maryland System at various institutions and positions including: Business Manager at University of Maryland College Park; Budget Analyst at University of Maryland System Administration; Budget Director and Director of Grants Accounting at University of Baltimore; and Controller and Executive Director of Finance at University of Maryland Baltimore, School of Medicine. Linda is currently involved with financial grant management software implementation and consulting at IT Works.

Dee Salmon, RDH, MSHP
Implementation and Business Consultant

Dee Salmon’s experience includes 10 years pre and post award at Del Mar College, as Director of Grants and Sponsored Research and Director of a National Science Foundation grant. She built the Grants and Sponsored Research Office from the ground up and implemented the IT Works Grants Module as a part of that process. Experience prior to higher education, includes over 25 years in Public Health Promotion and Management with roles of educator, facilitator, trainer, coalition builder and manager working with school systems, state and local health departments, colleges and universities and various other community organizations. Dee is currently supports grants management software implementation and consulting for IT Works.

Don Zhang
Chief Software Architect

Zhonghua (Don) Zhang has a PhD in Chemistry from Colorado School of Mines and is a highly motivated and experienced software architect / engineer. He has extensive experience in object-oriented design and development. In addition, he has architected and delivered software solutions for a wide range of industries including manufacturing, government, banking, pharmaceutical since 1995. Don is one of the chief design and developers of the IT Works’ .Net product suites.

Chief Software Architect

With degrees in computer science and music, Chris complements our suite of products from both an analytical and a creative perspective. Having gotten hooked on his first PC as a kid in the 1980’s (an IBM PC with an 8088 processor!), Chris has led software development teams from Manhattan to South Florida. He is currently leading our web team as one of our principal .Net Architect/Developers.

Jennifer Cramsie
Department Manager & College Administrator Development Manager

Jennifer Cramsie received her BS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin. She has 15 years experience developing, programming and implementing business specific software applications. Prior to joining the IT Works team she created timeshare sales contract tracking software for Chicago Title and also had a brief stint as the webmaster for Experian.

Kevin Purvis
Software Support Specialist

Kevin Purvis earned his Bachelor’s in Computer Science from North Carolina State University. He has six plus years of working in quality assurance, software implementation and technical support. Before he came to IT Works, he worked implemented custom interfaces for a company called Clairvia that specialized in creating nurse staffing software for various hospitals around the country as well as being in a rotation that provided 24/7 technical support. He also worked for a company called Residential Management Systems where he was part of the support team that provided support for their software that controlled student housing at universities around the US.
